Senior Service Day
A local company is helping to make a difference in the community. Orbit Medical and the Utah Food bank are combining their efforts to schedule a Senior Service Day; during this event they will help local seniors with house duties such as yard work, and organizing their backyards along with delivering food boxes and painting projects.
Orbit Medical itself is a huge help to seniors; they work with Medicare and insurance companies to provide senior citizens and disabled people with motorized wheelchairs, and HomeFill oxygen systems, which promote a senior's independence. A local representative from Orbit Medical stated, "We think helping out in the community is a good way to let seniors know that we are out there for them, and are more than just a business. We want to play an active role in their communities." Seniors deserve a chance to stay in their homes after all they've done for our communities, which is the goal of Orbit Medical and the Utah Food Bank.
It is expected that over 100 Orbit Medical employees, friends, and family members will help out at this event. Seniors that want help with their yard work or volunteers who would like to help can both sign up on Orbit Medical s' website at www.orbitmedical.com/service or by calling 1-800-403-9610.
